Page Meadows Trail
WHAT: An easy, short loop from Tahoe City. Perfect if you are new to mountain biking in Tahoe or short on time. A brief climb up a fire road will lead you to a quiet meadow with views of Twin Peaks. The Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) allows for a fun descent back into Tahoe City.
This ride can be extended by adding an out and back to Scott Peak.
LENGTH: 8 miles
DIRECTIONS: From Tahoe City go south on the bike path along CA-89 for about a mile until you reach Granlibakken Road. Hang a right on Granlibakken and make your third left onto Rawhide Street. Climb up the fire road at the end of the street and it will lead you up to the meadows. There are many trails that intersect the meadow, but they will all eventually take you to the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT). Explore the meadows as long as you’d like (taking care to stay off the delicate wet and marshy areas, especially in the early season) and then take a right on the TRT to head south back into town.
